Delete your Circle account

In the app (fastest)

1. Open Circle and sign in.
2. Go to You › Account and privacy › Delete account.
3. Confirm when asked (with your password, if your account has one).

Your account is deleted straight away.

Without the app

Email mycircleappltd@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my Circle account. We'll confirm it's you and delete the account within 7 days.

What happens

• Erased straight away: your name (you show as "Deleted user"), email, Circle ID, bio, date of birth, city, gender and other profile details, interests, connections, trusted contacts, memories, notifications, identity-verification details, sign-in methods, the device details of your sessions and your devices' notification tokens. You're signed out everywhere.
• Your photos: every picture you uploaded (profile photos, activity covers, chat photos and receipts) is deleted, except a chat photo attached to a reported message, which is kept as evidence until the report is resolved.
• Your activities: activities you host are wound down, and the people who joined are told. You leave the activities and groups you joined.
• Your messages: the text of your chat messages is erased, and so are any locations you shared in chat. A message someone reported is kept as evidence until the report is resolved.
• Kept without your name: star ratings you gave (the written comment is erased), and reports, moderation and safety records, and cost-splitting records, so other people's records stay correct. They show as from "Deleted user".
